What this is
The Concept Library is a free library of plain-language explanations of concepts in Psychology, Product, Design, Marketing, AI & Engineering, Research, Business and Leadership. It is for designers, product managers, engineers and founders: people who keep hearing a term at work and want to know what it means, where it came from and when it applies.
Each article explains one concept and lists the sources it rests on. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no paywall.
Who runs it
The Concept Library is run by Ravi Surana. He reviews its articles and is responsible for what the site says.
Ravi Surana is a lead product designer with more than nine years of experience building products on several platforms, and design systems, in fintech, HR tech, legal and food tech. He leads design at Strike Money, and before that led design at Paystand and Leoforce. He came to design from engineering and from running his own startup.
You can find him on LinkedIn.
How articles are checked
- Every article cites its sources and lists them on the page.
- Before an article goes up, we check that each cited link leads to the work the article names, and that each quoted line appears on the page it comes from.
- Every few months we check the cited links again, to catch pages that have moved or disappeared.
- Ravi Surana reviews each new article before it is published. That is what “Reviewed by Ravi Surana” at the top of an article means.
No check catches everything, so please tell us when we get something wrong.
Corrections
If something is wrong, out of date or unclear, email iamravisurana@gmail.com with the page and what you found. A source that says otherwise helps most. We fix mistakes on the page itself.
